About the book
“Devi - The Spiritual Journey of Love” through its expanse focuses on the linking of love and spiritual enlightenment in the contemporary world. Citing the narrative by seeking inspiration from Navratri and the role of three goddesses – Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati, the story is revealed over nine years, divided into four chapters: Tamas, Rajas, Sattva, and Nirvana.
The protagonist, Tapas Banerjee, a banker, undergoes a deep transformation directed by the forces of love. The narrative evolves through encounters with three key characters: Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati, representing different phases of the protagonist’s spiritual journey. As Tapas shifts from worldly desires to goal-oriented living and finally to soul consciousness, he discovers the true essence of love and its power to bring about spiritual awakening.
Speaking about the launch of the book, Author Prajeet Budhale, said, “The story of ‘Devi’ is an exploration of the profound connection between love and spiritual enlightenment.
May 2021, was a defining period in my life. I met an ordinary person, who enabled an extraordinary insight in my life. This incident helped me change myself for the better. Inspired by this incident, I authored this book.
Though Devi is a work of fiction, it is a tribute to people who enable greatness in us with their actions. It reflects the idea that pure love has the power to transform lives and lead to a deeper understanding of oneself. Writing this book enabled me to re-discover myself at a deep and personal level. I am hoping the book will bring equal good to the readers.”
